You can use it to remove unfavourable blocks and, after damage has been dealt, to give a sudo vigilance to creatures

If the ability is modal (that is, if it says, "Choose one " or similar), the mode is copied and can't be changed

Sworn to Darkness Having lived through the original release of Commander 2014 , I can say that the mono black deck was rather forgettable

The downside of these cards though is lots of playgroups really don't like these cards so it's rude to play them at those tables, and also their win% goes down if your opponents both hate these cards and know you run them since they will gang up and kill you (ignoring everything else) so you don't get a chance to cast them

If you like the idea but find this to be a bit intimidating, then you can try some of the smaller scale ideas I mentioned at the start
